The sanctuary is crisscrossed by River Kanheri and River Nagajhari, tributaries of River Kali. The sanctuary is the natural habitat for several wildlife species such as tigers, leopards, black panthers, elephants, gaur and languor.
HOW TO REACH AGUMBE?
Nearest airport: Mangaluru Airport is about 95 km away from Agumbe village.
Nearest railhead: Udupi Railway Station is about 50 km away from Agumbe.
By bus: You can directly take a bus from Bangalore to Agumbe or a bus going to Thirthahalli and then another bus from there to Agumbe.
LODGING & CAMPING -
There is no facility near the falls to stay. You may take your own tent or other instruments which were helpful to stay. But in heavy rainfall, it's difficult to stay here because this particular region comes under the heavy rainfall region.

The nearest railway station is at Mangalore with trains connecting to many cities. The nearest airport is also in Mangalore and is accessible by taxis. It is also well connected by road with buses plying regularly from Mangalore.
